Mission 2014: Sharing The Love of Jesus
Please take some time today to spend in prayer. Pray for wisdom for world leaders and cooperation between them. Pray for the families who have experience tragedy in lives - the college tour bus in California, the ferry in South Korea, the missing Malaysian airplane, victims of shootings and explosions, and those suffering from natural disasters. Pray for the inmates on death row and their families. Join in prayer today and may God bless you!
Prayer is a very important part of Christian living. Prayer is important because it recognizes God for who He is and is an outward demonstration of our desire to grow in our knowledge of Him and lead a life that is pleasing to Him. Prayer is talking to God about what is on your mind. It may be about understanding scripture, or healing for a friend who is ill, about the new job offer, or just because you want God to know that you love Him. Pray is about relationship with God, it is worship, it is sharing, it is caring – it is seeking the best for the entire world through your relationship with God. Prayer is about Christian Love!
Intercessory Prayer Need!
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly anddignified in every way. This is good, andit is pleasing in the sight ofGod our Savior,… 1 Timothy 2: 1-3 (ESV)
The pictures above depict intercessory prayer needs. World leaders in need of God’s guidance, tragic accidents, intentional infliction of serious bodily harm, Mother Nature withholding rain, missing passenger planes, military provocation, and needed revival, are all in need of prayer, your prayer. You do not need military might, guns, or a fancy title to change the world. The world is changed one prayer at a time. Become a world changer –be in a constant state of Prayer!
Intercessory Prayer Requests and Needs
An 8.2 magnitude earthquake has struck northern Chile on Tuesday evening, April 1, 2014. Six have been reported dead. The earthquake caused landslides which blocked roads, knocked out power, damaged an airport, and started fires. Some homes were destroyed. Please pray for all those who have had their lives affected by this disaster and for a quick recovery for the nation.
Please pray for the families of the people of the State of Washington who have been killed, injured or are missing in the mudslide that struck over the weekend. Pray for the emergency responders who are searching and administering aid diligently.
The Prime Minister of Malaysia announced that Malaysian Airline flight MH370 is crashed in a remote area of the South Indian Ocean with no chance of survivors. Please pray for the families of the passengers and crew on this flight. Pray that God may grant them peace as they deal with this horrible, mysterious, tragedy.

As Christians, or Christ followers, we should act as the name commands – act like Jesus the Christ. One of the things that dominated Jesus’ life was His devotion to communicating to the Father through prayer. The Forgiveness Foundation Christian Ministries (TFFCM) want to help you grow in your prayer life, or if your prayer life is lacking we want to help you develop it. The disciples saw the importance of prayer in Jesus’ life and asked Him to teach them how to pray:
“ Once Jesus was in a certain place praying. As he finished, one of his disciples came to him and said, ‘Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.’ Jesus said, ‘This is how you should pray: “Father, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. Give us each day the food we need, and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation.”’” (Luke 11:1-4, NLT)
Did Abraham always know he was going to father a nation? Did David always know he was going to be king? Did Jonah always know he was going to be a prophet for the Lord? Did Esther know that her being queen was going to save the Jews from extinction? God had plans for each of their lives - and yours! Like Abraham, David, Jonah, Esther, we may not know the plans the Lord has for us, but He has one!
In the Old Testament, God spoke to reveal His word and His plans to His chosen. How does God speak to us today? From the scriptures! We can only learn to hear Him through study of His word! Let us help you in your study! Every year, we at The Forgiveness Foundation Christian Ministries, invite you to participate in our “52 Week Bible Reading Plan” (available here). By using this plan, you will, within one year, have completely read through the entire Bible! No matter if this is your first time - or one-hundredth time! - reading through the Bible, a daily study is the only way to hear God’s word!
Diligent study of God’s word does not end upon reading the Bible. As with any subject of study, once you have grasped the basics, you dig deeper and increase your learning! In addition to a brief commentary on each day’s reading, we also provide focus verses for each day. After reading the through the day’s passages, go back and re-read the focus verses. Contemplate on the questions asked. What questions does the text pose for you? Check back to our website, www.theforgivenessfoundation.org, for each day’s reading. If you miss a day, past commentary can be found under our “Scriptures” tab.
Additional, we provide a weekly verse or verses for study. Consider this passage each day as well. Pray, meditate, and reflect each day on the weekly verse or verses.
Our 2017 plan began on January 1, 2017, but it is never too late to join! The Bible is not a book to be read once, but a book to be read again and again (and again and again) - learning something new and gaining deeper understanding each time it is read! Join in our Bible study at any time and discover God’s plan for you!
