executed in the United States in 2017.

Garry Thomas Allen was executed by the state of Oklahoma on November 6, 2012.  Garry was pronounced dead at 6:10 pm CST, inside the execution chamber at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary in McAlester, Oklahoma.  Garry was 56 years of age.  He was executed for the murder of his estranged fiancée 24-year-old Lawanna Gail Titsworth outside of a daycare center in Oklahoma City on November 21, 1986.  Garry shot and killed Lawanna in front of their two children.

Growing up, Garry’s mother was an alcoholic and he lived in poverty, often going hungry.    As a teenager, Garry had several suicide attempts.  As an adult, Garry was known to abuse drugs and alcohol.  Garry had been hospitalized for psychological problems while he served in the Navy.

Please pray for peace and healing for the family of Lawanna, especially for the two children who witnessed their mother’s murder.  Please pray for the family of Garry.  Garry referred to Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior and only Son of God in his final statement.
