Miguel Angel Paredes was executed by the state of Texas on October 28, 2014. Miguel was pronounced dead at 6:54 pm CDT, inside the Walls Unit execution chamber at the Huntsville State Penitentiary in Huntsville, Texas. Miguel was 32 years of age. He was executed for the murders of 27-year-old Adrian Torres, 23-year-old Nelly Bravo, and 23-year-old Shawn Michael Cain on September 17, 2000, in San Antonio, Texas. Miguel and the victims were members of rival drug gangs.
Miguel was one of 20 children, although seven died before he was born. Miguel’s parents were Mexican immigrants, who moved from Chicago, Illinois to San Antonia, Texas, where Miguel became involved in the violent Hermanos de Pistoleros Latinos gang. By the age of 15, Miguel had a criminal record and a pregnant girlfriend.
