Context: Chapter 29 concludes all the proverbs attributed to King Solomon. Solomon was a very wise, world renowned for his wisdom. His wisdom was not his own. It came from the Lord. It has been recorded here so that future generations may be able to study the wisdom revealed to him by the Lord. When we take what is written and study it, committing it unto our hearts, we too, can have the wisdom of Solomon. Pray that you may retain what you have learned. Chapter 30 contains the sayings of Agur. Who is Agur? We no longer know. Interestingly, some of the questions put forth in this chapter are the same questions that God asked Job. They are questions that we are unable to answer. Pray that the Lord is able to speak to you through this reading.
