Context: Solomon reflects upon the end of life, noting that in the end, we all die. It is the one certainty in life. Why then should we not enjoy the life we have, as we have it? Solomon explores this idea. Unfortunately, sin has twisted life away from God, where society values that which does not honor God. Wisdom, a great gift from the Lord, is often unrecognized if not accompanied by wealth, popularity, or attractiveness. Chapter 10 may resemble proverbs, also written by Solomon. Through these proverbs, Solomon notes that circumstances in life are often unfair and do not make sense. With God in our lives, He can take what we have and use it for His glory.
