December 20, 2015: Daily Bible Reading with Commentary for Jude
Click here for the Daily Reading
Date: Approximately between AD 67 and AD 80
Context: The intended audience of this letter is unknown, although many scholars believe that they were Christian Jews from Palestine. This brief letter is written to encourage believers against trusting in false teachers. False teachers twist the truth to make their lies sound appealing. We must always be prepared to fight against them. To do that, we must know the Word of God. It must be written on our hearts.
World History: It is most often believed that the author of this letter was also the half-brother of Jesus Christ, who did not come to believe in Him until after the resurrection.
