Commentary: The book of Proverbs contains advice for a multitude of situations. Sometimes the advice it offers is direct, while other times, the advise is indirect and we must consider it to understand it. At some point during a life, we have all played the part of the fool, relying on ourselves and the wisdom of the world instead of on Christ.
Focus Verse: 17:24 Consider a time when you did not follow the advice given and played the part of the fool. Have you sought forgiveness? Consider a time when you were wise and used God’s word as guidance. What were the differences in the outcomes?
