Commentary: Micah directed his message to Samaria and Jerusalem, the capital cities of Israel and Judah, who led their nations into downfall. Like many prophets, he was issuing a warning to all of God’s chosen people, warning them of what was to come if they continued to ignore the Lord and refused to repent of their sins. They would be destroyed by another nation. He also foretells of a coming Savior (Jesus Christ). He also provides hope of a restored kingdom, worshipping the Lord.
Focus Verses: 2:1-2 The warnings the Lord gives to the Israelites also serve as warnings for us. What is the warning in this passage? Are you guilty? Is there an aspect of your life you need to change?
