Two Earthquakes Strike Taiwan
Two more strong earthquakes, measuring at least 6.0 magnitude have struck Taiwan. Since Taiwan experienced one of the strongest earthquakes in the nation’s history in early April, the area has been experiencing ongoing seismic activity. No deaths have been reported from the most recent earthquakes, although nine people died in the earthquake earlier this month. Pray for the families of the deceased. Pray for all affected. Pray for peace.
2 Killed in Memphis, Tennessee
At least two people died, and six others were injured, after a shooting at a block party in in Memphis, Tennessee. There are at least two suspects, however, no one has yet been arrested. Pray for the families of the deceased. Pray for healing for the injured. Pray for all affected. Pray for safety.
Schools Closed Due to Flooding in Mauritius
Heavy rains have caused severe flooding across Mauritius, an island nation. The weather has caused all schools to close and both private and public sector workers have been advised to stay home. At least one person has died. Pray for the family of the deceased. Pray for all affected. Pray for safety.
Gang Violence Continues in Haiti
From the beginning of the year, over 2,500 people have been killed or injured due to ongoing gang violence in Haiti. The majority of the violence has centered around the capital, Port-au-Prince. Gang violence escalated after unelected Prime Minister Ariel Henry flew to Kenya to meet with other world leaders. He resigned days later and no new government has yet been established in Haiti. Gangs are blocking supply routes, making problems with healthcare and hunger worsen. Pray for all affected. Pray for peace.
War Continues Between Russia and Ukraine
Russia continues to attack Ukraine, destroying infrastructure and homes. At least seven people, including two children, were killed in a recent attack in Synelnykove, Ukraine. A maternity hospital was also destroyed. Pray for the families of the deceased. Pray for healing for the injured. Pray for peace.
Borsen Building Burns in Denmark
The 400-year-old historic former stock exchange building, known as Borsen, has suffered severe damage from a fire. Nearly all historic artifacts were rescued from the interior. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The Danish Chamber of Commerce, which owns Borsen, has already vowed to rebuild, hoping to learn some lessons from France’s Notre Dame cathedral, which burned in 2019 and is now scheduled to be reopened this year.

At least seven people died, including one child, at a motor car race in Diyatalawa, an army base town in Sri Lanka. Twenty-one others were injured in the crash that saw a car plow into spectators. The car had veered out of its lane while officials were attempting to warn drivers of another crash that had already happened. Pray for the families of the deceased. Pray for healing for the injured. Pray for all affected.
Flooding in Guangdong, China
At least 110,000 individuals have been evacuated from their homes in Guangdong, one of the popular provinces in China, due to heavy rains and flooding. At least four individuals have died and 10 others are missing. The heavy rains resulted in several rivers overflowing their banks. Pray for the families of the deceased and the safety of the missing. Pray for all affected.
7 Missing After Helicopter Crash in Japan
Seven Navy crew members are missing after two helicopters appeared to have crashed during night training drills. At least one body has been recovered. Black boxes from both helicopters, as well as other debris, have also been recovered. Pray for the family of the deceased and the families of the missing. Pray for safety.
