Re: March 2013 Newsletter

Dear Friend,

“He has risen!”

But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men suddenly stood near them in dazzling clothing; and as the women were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living One among the dead? He is not here, but He has risen. Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee, saying that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. ”And they remembered His words, and returned from the tomb and reported all these things to the eleven and to all the rest. Now they were Mary Magdalene and Joanna and Mary the mother of James; also the other women with them were telling these things to the apostles. But these words appeared to them as nonsense, and they would not believe them. But Peter got up and ran to the tomb; stooping and looking in, he *saw the linen wrappings only; and he went away to his home, marveling at what had happened. (Luke 24:1-12 NASB)

Ele ressuscitou! 彼は上昇しています! הוא עלה! Il s'est levé ! Egli è risorto! Er ist gestiegen! Ha resucitado! He has risen!” There are no words more powerful or important to all of mankind in any language. Over two thousand years ago Christ accepted the punishment for our sins, willingly being crucified - an innocent man - at Calvary, to pay your and my sin debt (For the wages of sin is death, Romans 6:23(a), ESV.) Christ died! Christ really died! No hocus pocus here! Christ really died!  Our Lord humbled Himself to be crucified, crucified between two robbers, two guilty men, our Lord had committed no crime. As death approached the three, one robber sought redemption as the other mocked our Lord and Savior. One robber died redeemed through Christ, the other appears to have rejected his Redeemer (Luke 23:32-43).  Jesus was placed in a tomb. Jesus would not remain there. He rose from the dead defeating Satan’s death grip of sin over all who call on the name of Jesus Christ for salvation. (“…,but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23(b), ESV.) He has risen! Undenieably the most powerful and important words ever spoken.

The Forgiveness Foundation A Prison Release Ministry shares the Gospel with over 3,000 men and women on death row in the United States. Some of the men and women with whom we share the Gospel may be innocent of the crime for which they are convicted; however, they, like we, are guilty of sin and need the redemption that only the “Redeemer” can give. Unfortunately most of the people to whom we write are guilty of the crime for which they are convicted and struggle with the fact that they can be forgiven for their sin, believed, at least by them, to be most grave sin in God’s eyes.

The Forgiveness Foundation Christian Ministries shares the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world over the internet. In just the first six weeks of the 2013 The Forgiveness Foundation Christian Ministries has been invited into over 10,000 homes in 103 countries  through our teaching series “Think Like Jesus -2013” and our teaching series “Prayer Life”. If you have not already, I encourage you to check these study tools out at www.theforgivenessfoundation.org.

Executions Scheduled For March 2013

Seven men were scheduled for execution during the month of March 2013:

March 05 – Freeman May, Pennsylvania. Stayed by the US District Court for Middle Pennsylvania.  Freeman murdered a young women in 1982.

March 06 – Orlando Maisonet, Pennsylvania.  Stayed by the US District Court for Eastern Pennsylvania.  Orlando murdered two men to prevent them from talking to

the police.

March 06 – Edward Schad, Arizona.  Edward strangled 74-year-old Lorimer Grove in Yavapai County, Arizona.  Edward also stole Lorimer’s Cadillac.

March 06 – Frederick Treesh, Ohio.  Frederick went on a multistate crime spree, ending in his capture after the murder of Louis Lauver, a security guard.

March 07 – Abraham Sanchez, Jr., Pennsylvania.  Stayed by the Federal District Court for Eastern District to allow time for additional appeals.  Abraham murdered a

man during an attempted robbery.

March 12 – Steven Ray Thacker, Oklahoma.  Steven committed three murders in three states over a 10-day period in late 1999 to early 2000.

March 21 – Michael Gonzales, Texas.  Stayed to allow time for new lawyers to become familiar with his case.  Michael killed an elderly couple during a robbery.

Please pray for Freeman, Orlando, Edward, Frederick, Abraham, Steven, and Michael.  Pray for salvation if unsaved, peace if saved, and, if any of these men are innocent, that it be discovered before they are executed.  Over 2,000 years ago, Jesus Christ died for the forgiveness of Freeman, Orlando, Edward, Frederick, Abraham, Steven, and Michael’s, sin at Calvary.  All that remains is for them to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, to receive the free gift of salvation and eternal life.  Please pray earnestly for these men, keeping in mind that in God’s eyes, murder is a sin and in the eyes of Pennsylvania, Arizona, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Texas, murder is a crime that, in these cases, is punishable by death.  At Calvary, over 2,000 years ago, Jesus accepted the punishment for the sin of the murders these men are convicted of committing and now they need to accept the salvation and forgiveness Jesus desires to give them.

Please check our website, www.theforgivenessfoundation.org, for additional information on Freeman, Orlando, Edward, Frederick, Abraham, Steven, and Michael and the most recent information regarding stays of execution and additional people being scheduled for execution during the course of the month.

It does not matter what time of year it is the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is “Liberation Day,” for all who  believe in the name of Jesus the Christ.  We, Christians, have been given the greatest gift that has ever been given. The gift bears a responsibility. The responsibility is to share the Gospel (the Love of Jesus Christ) with the entire world. “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; even to the end of the age.” We at TFFCM and TFFAPRM wish you and your loved ones a blessed resurrection Sunday.

Godspeace!
