PROVERBS 25
DAY 264: JOURNEY THROGH THE BIBLE IN A YEAR

Our journey today through Proverbs contains more proverbs attributed to the wisdom of Solomon.

Pause and seeks God’s understand for the wisdom you are about to read. Read Proverbs 25. Let’s journey!

King Solomon, son of King David, is believed to be the wisest man who ever lived, with the exception of Jesus Christ. King Solomon is the author of most of the book of Proverbs, which means wisdom. Solomon, upon being crowned king, was offered a gift from the Lord. Already showing wisdom, Solomon asked that the Lord bestow upon him wisdom to rule wisely. Wisdom is about how to live in a way that honors God and all wisdom comes for the Lord.

Proverbs 25: Today’s reading continues more wisdom from King Solomon. Although Solomon was king, his wisdom, granted to him by the Lord, can be applied by all. (Proverbs 25:1-28)

Following today’s reading, take some time and meditate on a piece of wisdom that stood out to you. Consider why you are drawn to that piece of wisdom? Does it go against what the secular world teaches? What is God trying to teach you through this piece of wisdom? How can that wisdom be applied to your life?
