Day 040: Journey Through the Bible in a Year
Focus Verses for Today: Job 12:13-16

Take a few minutes to read Job 11-12. Seek God in prayer, asking Him to guide you through today’s journey through Job 11-12, and the rest of our journey this year; for a clear understanding, His understanding of the message He is delivering to us through His servants at The Forgiveness Foundation Christian Ministries.

JobCommentary: Zophar, the third friend, expresses his black and white view of the world; Job must have sinned and is being punished for. Zophar has relatively little sympathy for his friend’s suffering because he believes Job’s suffering is just since Job refuses to repent. Job then expresses his frustration with his friends, speaking sarcastically to them. Job acknowledges the power and the wisdom of the Lord and speaks of the destructive power of the Lord. People can become victims of this destruction regardless of their social or moral standings, therefore, it is with God that Job must settle his complaint and it is towards God that Job will look for guidance and protection.

Focus Verses: Job 12:13-16 – Have you recently marveled at the power of God? He is in control of everything! How have you surrendered your life, all of it, to Him? How has he worked in your life?
