Commentary: All three of today’s psalms are written by David. Psalm 30 is a psalm of praise. Some believe that this psalm was sung when David brought up the Ark of the Covenant and placed it inside the tabernacle at Jerusalem. Others believe that it was written for the dedication of the threshing floor, where the future Temple would be erected. Still, others believe that the psalm was a prophetic praise by David. Psalm 31 deals with a familiar and relatable theme: hardships and trials experienced by those that follow the Lord. Psalm 32 is one of instruction. It instructs us to seek the Lord’s forgiveness when we have sinned.
Focus Verse: Psalms 32:5 How often do you specifically acknowledge your sin before the Lord? About what do you need to confess to the Lord and seek His forgiveness?
