Day 158: Journey Through the Bible in a Year
Focus Verses for Today: Psalms 67:1-7
Ask God for His understanding of Psalms 66-68. Read Psalms 66-68. Let’s journey!
Commentary: The author of Psalms 66 and 67 is unknown, although suspected to be David. David is the author of Psalm 68. Psalm 66 is one of praise and joy to the Lord God and looks forward to the day when Israel will be restored. Psalm 67 is one of the shortest psalms with only seven verses/stanzas. The number seven represents completeness, perfection, which is fitting for describing the kingdom of God. Psalm 68 describes the strength of the King – His triumph and His glory.
