Commentary: The Lord continues providing instructions for the priests. Two sons of Aaron failed to follow the Lord’s instruction. They were killed for their disobedience. Priests were not to drink alcohol while serving the Lord, as it impairs the senses and a person’s judgment, and a clear head is needed to serve the Lord. Chapters 11 and 12 provide instructions to the Israelites on diet and cleanliness.
