Commentary: Paul continues his letter with a message of hope and inspiration – a life lived for Christ is a life worth living! A life in Christ is a life set apart from the world. Paul assures the Thessalonians that it does not matter if we are alive or dead when Christ returns, for we will all be with Him. Paul warns the church against spiritual drowsiness and becoming lazy in our relationship with Christ. We must stay active and alert! Paul warns the Thessalonians to avoid sexual immorality. He teaches that living a life pleasing to God is a testimony to non-believers. The letter concludes with a message from Paul, Silas, and Timothy regarding prayer.
