Day 229: Journey Through the Bible in a Year
Focus Verses for Today: Proverbs 17:24
Ask the Lord for His understanding of Proverbs 17 and 18. Read Proverbs 17-18. Let’s journey.
Commentary: The book of Proverbs contains advice for a multitude of situations. Sometimes the advice it offers is direct, while other times, the advice is indirect and we must consider it to understand it. At some point during our life, we have all played the part of the fool, relying on ourselves and the wisdom of the world instead of on Christ.
Focus Verse: Proverbs 17:24 Consider a time when you did not follow the advice given and played the part of the fool. Have you sought forgiveness? Consider a time when you were wise and used God’s word as guidance. What were the differences in the outcomes?
