Day 271: Journey Through the Bible in a Year
Focus Verses for Today: Proverbs 26:11-12

Commentary: Many of today’s proverbs talk of a fool. A fool is not a person who is mentally challenged or socially awkward or who lacks common sense. Those are today’s definitions of a fool. In the Bible, a fool is a person who rejects the wisdom of God in favor of the world’s wisdom. The world’s wisdom rejects God, instead focusing on man and what he can do. A doctor, a chemist, an engineer, a scientist, a lawyer, anyone who rejects the Lord is a fool.
