Commentary: Perhaps you have heard the saying, “There are only two certainties in life: taxes and death.” In today’s reading, Solomon reflects upon the latter. Many believe that since this life is all we have, we should enjoy it. This idea is born of sin, for it does not honor, nor is it pleasing to the Lord. Life is not always fair, nor does it always make sense, however, with the Lord in our life, we are to take what He has given us and use it for His glory.
