Debra Jean Milke was sent to death row in Arizona since 1990.  She was convicted of murdering her 4-year-old son, Christopher.  On Thursday, December 11, 2014, the Arizona Court of Appeals dismissed the murder charges and harshly criticized the prosecutors for their conduct during the case.  Included in their misconduct was failure to turn over evidence during her trial concerning a detective with a long history of misconduct and lying.  Debra cannot be retried due to double jeopardy, however prosecutors can appeal the decision.

In December of 1989, according to authorities, Debra dressed her son in his favorite outfit, telling him he was going to see Santa Clause.  Instead, two men took Christopher and shot him in the back of the head in a desert near Phoenix, Arizona.  The prosecution successfully argued that Debra wanted the boy killed because she no longer wanted the boy.  Debra allegedly confessed to police in an unrecorded interview.  Debra denies the confession and claims she is innocent.  Debra is currently free on bail.

Please pray for peace and healing for the family of Christopher and Debra.  Please pray that the truth will prevail.
