Thursday, May 3, 2018, is the 67th annual National Day of Prayer.  Join with Christians around the world as we lift our voices in prayer to the Lord.  The theme chosen by the National Day of Prayer Task Force for 2018 is Pray for America - UNITY!  The verse chosen to highlight this theme is Ephesians 4:3:

“Make every effort to keep the oneness of the Spirit in the bond of peace [each individual working together to make the whole successful].”  (AMP)

Democrat, Republican, or Independent.  Pro-choice or pro-life.  Pro gun control or pro second amendment.  Pro big government or pro small government.  Christian, atheist, Muslim, or other religion.  Involvement in foreign nations.  The death penalty.  Gay marriage.  There are numerous issues that divide Americans today and many would say that the division has only gotten worse in the past several years.  Which is why this year’s prayer is so important!  It is a prayer for UNITY!

Politicians can talk about working together, reaching the other side, but to truly unite this nation once again, we need to unite in the Lord.  He is the bringer of peace and the one to whom we must turn!  We must also do our part; spread the love of God, our desire for unity, to everyone we meet.  Pray for unity, and live our prayer through our actions!

We are fortunate to live in a nation where, once a year, the highest office in the land, that of the President, proclaims the first Thursday of May as the National Day of Prayer.  Prayer, fervent prayer, can, according to Scriptures, be the catalyst of great change.  Prayer is how we communicate with our Lord and prayer is needed now more than ever!  Our nation is divided in numerous ways and it has become more and more difficult to see a way to unite America again.  We need the Lord’s help!

Join with The Forgiveness Foundation Christian Ministries, and other Christians throughout the United States, for this National Day of Prayer.  Join in prayer for America!  Join in prayer for yourself and that the Lord may use you for His purpose!  Join in prayer!  Let it be a resounding cry for all to hear and heed!
