Commentary: Jesus represents us before the Lord God, but in order to have compassion for us sinners, He had to become one of us and experience the temptations with which we all struggle.  Jesus set an example of us to follow while He was on earth.  His resurrections proves He was chosen by God.  In order to stay strong in our faith, we must continue to grow.  When we stagnate, we tend to drift away.  It is a dedicated commitment and cannot be done half-heartedly.  We must abandon sinful activities which do not further our relationship with Christ.  Chapter seven provides encouragement through the use of historical examples.
