7Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back.  8But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven.  9The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.  (Revelation 12:7-9, NIV)

REVELATION 12-17

DAY 357: JOURNEY THROUGH THE BIBLE IN A YEAR

Focus Verses For Today: Revelation 12:7-9

Today, we continue our journey through the book of Revelation. We are introduced to the beast.

Ask the Lord for His understanding of Revelation 12-17. Read Revelation 12-17. Let’s journey!

Revelation 12-17: A woman, representing Israel is about to give birth to a child, Jesus Christ. Satan is standing by, ready to devour the child, who was saved by the Lord. Satan was cast out of heaven and has relentlessly attempted to lead all away from the Lord. Those who follow the beast will be marked, although the 144,000 will stand for the Lord. God’s wrath will continue to be poured out. The prostitute represents false religion, established by evil. (Revelation 12:1-17:18)

Our focus verses for today:

The war between Satan and the Most High has been ongoing for ages. Satan wanted to receive the worship that belongs to God alone. Since then, Satan has actively worked to draw people away from the Lord. Examine your life. Are there areas that Satan has infiltrated? Examine carefully, and cast him out!
