Commentary: Instructions continue to be given to the priests on the guilt and fellowship offering. Today, Jesus has taken on the role of the priests, intervening for us with God. Chapter 8 explains the consecration of the priests, who came from the Levite tribe. The book of Leviticus is, in large part, an instruction manual for them on how to perform their duties. In chapter 9, Aaron and his sons begin their ministry as priests, including their initiation into the priesthood and a detailed account of their daily routine.
Focus Verses: 7:11-18 How does this offering differ from most of the other offerings? How is it still relevant today? What can be learned from this offering?
