Advent Day 18

Prophecy:

12Therefore I will give him a portion among the great,
    and he will divide the spoils with the strong,
because he poured out his life unto death,
    and was numbered with the transgressors.
For he bore the sin of many,
    and made intercession for the transgressors.
(Isaiah 53:12, NIV)

Fulfillment:

18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  (Matthew 28:18, NIV)

46 Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.  (Luke 23:46, NIV)
