Focus Verses For Today: Acts 26:15-18
Today, our journey through the book of Acts continues with Paul’s slow journey to Rome.
Ask the Lord for His understanding of Acts 25-26. Read Acts 25-26. Let’s journey!
Acts 23-24: Two years had passed, but Jewish leaders still plotted to kill Paul. Another trial was held and Paul used his right as a Roman to appeal to Caesar. Paul makes his case before King Agrippa, once again telling the story of his meeting with Jesus Christ, which changed Paul’s life forever and led him to where he was, before Festus and Agrippa. (Acts 25:1-26:32)
Our focus verses for today:
15 “Then I asked, ‘Who are you, Lord?’
“‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,’ the Lord replied. 16 ‘Now get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen and will see of me. 17 I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them 18 to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’
(Acts 26:15-18, NIV)
Paul recognized that he had a unique opportunity to share his testimony with those present. Paul did not waste the opportunity. Are there wasted opportunities in your life? When was the last time you shared your testimony? Spend some time in prayer, asking that an opportunity may be revealed to you. Then, be like Paul, and seize the opportunity! You never know how the Lord will use you!
