Michael Lee Wilson was executed by the state of Oklahoma on January 9, 2014.  He was pronounced dead at 6:06 pm local time, inside the execution chamber at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary in McAlester, Oklahoma.  Michael was 38 years of age.  He was executed for the brutal beating death of 30-year-old Richard Kevin Yost on January 4, 1998.  Michael had previously worked with Richard at a QuikTrip convenience store in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Michael had three accomplices. Two were also sentenced to death and have since been executed.  The fourth accomplice was a juvenile at the time of the crime.  He was sentenced to life in prison.

Michael regularly attended church growing up and had a loving mother.  His father was absent for most of his childhood.  Michael became involved with a gang at a young age.
