Willie Tyrone “T-Rock” Trottie was executed by the state of Texas on September 10, 2014. He was pronounced dead at 6:35 pm local time, inside the Walls Unit execution chamber at the Huntsville State Penitentiary in Huntsville, Texas. He was 45 years of age. Willie was executed for the murder of his 24-year-old ex-girlfriend Barbara Canada and her brother 29-year-old Titus C. Canada on May 3, 1993, in their parent’s home in Houston, Texas. Willie claimed it was self-defense.

For the first six years of his life, Willie was raised by an abusive and alcoholic mother. Willie was then placed in foster care, where he was abused until his father took him and his siblings. Willie worked three jobs before his arrest, including one as a delivery man.

Please pray for peace and healing for the family of Barbara and Titus Canada. Please pray for the family of Willie. As his final words, Willie asked for forgiveness and said he was “going home to be with the Lord.”
