Advent 2022 – Journey of Fulfillment
Advent 2022
Journey of Fulfillment
On Sunday, November 27, 2022, the new church year begins with the Season of Advent. Advent beings on the fourth Sunday before Christmas. (Christmas Day is not counted as part of Advent) The following, by Dietrich Bonhoeffer, beautifully explains Advent:
Advent is a time of waiting. Our whole life, however, is
Advent–that is, a time of waiting for the ultimate,
for the time when there will be a new heaven and a new earth,
when all people are brothers and sisters and one rejoices in the words of the angels:
“On earth peace to those on whom God’s favor rests.”
Learn to wait, because he has promised to come.
“I stand at the door…”
We however call to him: “Yes, come soon,
Lord Jesus!”

Throughout the Old Testament, there are numerous prophecies which refer to the coming Messiah, the Son of God. Jesus Christ fulfilled these prophecies, as recorded in the New Testament. This Advent Season, The Forgiveness Foundation Christian Ministries, Inc. will post a prophecy every day, and the scripture in which Jesus fulfilled the prophecy. Each day, experience the anticipation of the coming Messiah, and the glory of the fulfillment!
