DAY 214: JOURNEY THROUGH THE BIBLE IN A YEAR
Our journey through Psalms 90-92, asks are we serving God with our life?
Ask God for His understanding of Psalms 90-92. Read Psalms 90-92. Let’s journey!
As we begin our journey through the fourth book of Psalms, remember that nearly every psalm can be classified as a psalm of Lament or a psalm of praise. A lament is a cry to the Lord, asking Him to do something, most often when we are in pain, confused, or angry. A psalm of praise is a prayer of joy and celebration, thanking the Lord for His work.
Psalms 90-92: Pose a simple question: what are we doing with the life God has given us? How many years do we have? Are we serving God with them? Are we curious why the unbeliever flourishes while the believer struggles? These questions are posed in our reading for today. The answer is also given. Seek God with all your heart. (Psalms 90:1-92:15)
Read chapters 90-92, and ask yourself these questions: Are these psalms of lament or praise? How do you know? What does this psalm teach you about the Lord God? Take a moment and offer up to the Lord God at least one praise and one lament from your own life.
