Frederick Treesh Executed in Ohio

Frederick TreeshFrederick Treesh was executed by the state of Ohio on March 6, 2013. He was pronounced dead at 10:37 am EST, inside the execution chamber at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Mansfield, Ohio. Frederick was 48 years of age. He was executed for the murder of 58-year-old Henry Dupree, a security guard on August 27, 1994, in Eastlake, Ohio. The murder occurred during a robbery of an adult bookstore. Also injured, but not killed, during the robbery was Louis Lauver who worked behind the sales counter. Louis testified against Frederick at his trial.

This final crime concluded a drug-fueled, multi-state, three-week crime spree.  This spree included several robberies of banks and businesses, sexual assaults, carjackings, and another murder. Accompanying Frederick on the crime spree was Benjamin Brooks.  Benjamin testified against Frederick to avoid a death sentence. Two other men were also involved in the murder of Henry Dupree.

Frederick had difficulty in school and lacked a positive male influence growing up. His parents divorced when he was young. He began regularly skipping class in junior high school and also began vandalizing property and stealing. At the age of 17, Fredrick fathered a child. Frederick worked for a time as a heavy equipment operator, before suffering a concussion at work. After the concussion, Frederick became severely depressed. Frederick became addicted to cocaine.

Please pray for peace and healing for the family of Henry Dupree and all those who were harmed by Frederick and his actions. Please pray for the family of Frederick Treesh. Frederick voluntarily stopped all his appeals, allowing his execution to proceed.
