Carroll ParrCarroll Joe Parr was executed by the state of Texas on May 7, 2013. He was pronounced dead at 6:32 pm CDT, inside the Walls Unit execution chamber at the Huntsville State Penitentiary in Huntsville, Texas. Carroll was 35 years of age. He was executed for the murder of 18-year-old Joel Dominguez on January 11, 2003, in Waco, Texas. Carroll beat and killed Joel to reclaim his money after buying marijuana from him. Carroll’s accomplice, Earl Dewane Whiteside, was sentenced to 15 years in prison after being convicted of aggravated robbery.

Carroll had and abusive childhood and dropped out of school after the third grade. Carroll had previously been arrested for possession of a controlled substance. There was also evidence that he was involved in two other murders and an assault. He worked as a laborer before being arrested.

Please pray for peace and healing for the family of Joel and any others who may have been affected by Carroll’s crimes. Please pray for the family of Carroll. Carroll expressed his faith in Jesus Christ during his final words.
