Ramon HernandezThe state of Texas executed Ramon Torres Hernandez on November 14, 2012. Ramon was pronounced dead at 6:38 pm local time, inside the execution chamber at the Walls Unit of the Huntsville State Penitentiary in Huntsville, Texas. Ramon was 41 years of age. He was convicted and executed for the rape and murder of 37-year-old Rosa Maria Rosado on October 21, 2002. Ramon kidnapped Rosa from a San Antonio bus stop while carrying out a robbery. He spent the last 10 years of his life on death row in Texas.

Ramon had previously been convicted on several burglary charges and is linked by DNA to the 1994 rape and murder of 12-year-old Sarah Gonzales and 13-year-old Priscilla Almares. Ramon has also been a suspect in the murder of two 15-year-old girls, who disappeared within days of Sarah and Priscilla. Before his arrest, Ramon worked as a construction worker, a food service provider, and a laborer.
