National Day of Prayer – May 5, 2022

Thursday, May 5, 2022, is the 70th annual National Day of Prayer. Join with Christians around the world as we lift our voices in prayer to the Lord. The theme chosen by the National Day of Prayer Task Force for 2022 is Exalt the Lord, Who Has Established Us. The verse chosen to highlight this theme is Colossians 2:6-7:

6 Therefore, as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude. (NASB)

National Day of PrayerThe past few years have been years of great change and challenges worldwide. And, often during these times, we turn to our Lord and Savior, seeking His protection and guidance. We beg Him for answers. As our challenging times continue, it is also important to remember to Exalt the Lord. Think of all that He has done for you! Have you thanked Him for His wonderful work?

Exalting the Lord does not simply mean praising Him. It also means to humble ourselves before the Lord. All we have is from Him. Have you acknowledged all He has done in your life?

In 1952, President Harry S. Truman signed into law a joint resolution from Congress that established the National Day of Prayer as an annual event. The National Day of Prayer is founded on the constitutional rights of freedom of speech and freedom of religion. It is more important than ever to exercise these freedoms and exalt the Lord through prayer.

Join with The Forgiveness Foundation Christian Ministries, and other Christians throughout the United States, for this National Day of Prayer. Through prayer, exalt the Lord! Praise Him for all that He has done! Join in prayer!
