Christopher Sepulvado was scheduled to be executed on Monday, March 17, 2025, at the Louisiana State Penitentiary near Angola, Louisiana. He has died while awaiting his execution date, at the age of 81. Christoper was convicted and sentenced to death for murdering his six-year-old stepson Wesley Allen Mercer on March 8, 1992, in Mansfield, Louisiana. Read more here.

Jessie Hoffman was pronounced dead at 6:50 pm local time on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. It was the first execution by nitrogen gas in the state. Jessie was convicted of 28-year-old Mary “Molly” Elliot, on November 27, 1996, in New Orleans, Louisiana.Read more here.

Pope Francis in Hospital
Eight-eight-year-old Pope Francis has been admitted to a hospital, where he will remain for as long as necessary. The Vatican announced that the Pope has a "polymicrobial infection" of his respiratory tract. He is considered stable but in need of rest to fully heal. Pray for his health.

Shawn Grate was given an Ohio execution date of Wednesday, March 19, 2025, however, there are appeals ongoing in his case and his execution will not be carried out. Forty-eight-year-old Shawn was sentenced to death for the murders of 43-year-old Stacey Stanley and 29-year-old Elizabeth Griffith in Ashland Ohio. Read more here.

Increased Tensions in South Sudan
In 2018, two leaders signed a peace agreement that ended a five-year civil war that had resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people. However, tensions remained high in the region and are increasing, prompting the United States to order all non-emergency staff to leave the country. Pray for peace. Pray for the families of the deceased and all affected by the civil war.

Aaron Gunches is scheduled to be executed at 6pm local time on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, in Florence, Arizona. Fifty-one-year-old Aaron is convicted of murdering Ted Price in December 2002. Read more here.

Edward James is scheduled to be executed at 6 pm local time, on Thursday, March 20, 2025, near Raiford, Florida. Sixty-three-year-old Edward is convicted of murdering eight-year-old Toni Neuner and her grandmother Betty Dick, on September 19, 1993, in Casselberry, Florida. Read more here.

Happy Birthday President Cleveland!!
Stephen Grover Cleveland, the 22nd and 24th President of the United States of America, served from March 4, 1885, until March 4, 1889, and again from March 4, 1893, until March 4, 1897. Grover, as he was always known, was born on March 18, 1837, in Caldwell, New Jersey, as the fifth of nine children. His father was a Presbyterian minister, who died when he was 16, forcing Grover to forgo his remaining education to help support his family.

Wendell Grissom is scheduled to be executed on Thursday, March 20, 2025, near McAlester, Oklahoma. Fifty-six-year-old Wendell is convicted of murdering 23-year-old Amber Matthews on November 3, 2005, in Watonga, Oklahoma. Read more here.

Over 1,000 Killed in Syria
Over 1,000 Syrians, a large number of which were Christians, were murdered over several days. The massacres were taped and posted online. In December, then-President Bashar Assad was removed from power and replaced with current Interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa, who was once a member of ISIS and currently is part of a US-designated terrorist group. Pray for the families of the deceased. Pray for all affected. Pray for peace.
